About the Role

Tijolinho is seeking a highly motivated intern developer to join our team and assist in building our cutting-edge platform for obtaining quotes on construction materials. Our automated platform streamlines the process of requesting quotes, and we place a strong emphasis on technology and innovation. We are searching for talented developers with a creative mindset, who can leverage AI NLP algorithms to help small and medium-sized construction companies and material stores save time and minimize errors. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement OCR tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our platform. - Utilize advanced NLP algorithms such as spacy and fuzzy matching to detect and fix discrepancies in naming and improve the matching of materials between customer requests and supplier responses. - Work with our team to design, develop and test new features and functionality for the Tijolinho platform. - Collaborate with our team to integrate and deploy new tools and features, ensuring the platform remains performant and scalable. Requirements: - Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. - Experience with spacy, fuzzy matching or other NLP frameworks. - Proficient in Python programming language and experience with API-based frameworks, such as Flask. Experience with AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework is a plus. - Basic familiarity with OCR tools - Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
