About the Company/Team

Camera Search is a real-time Voice+Visual Intelligence that helps people who work with their hands fix problems. It's an application that connects a users phone camera to an LLM and sends frames at 1fps through an orchestration framework to provide accurate and low latency interactions. We're targeting DIY Consumers and the Industrial Services Sector to help tradesmen, like electricians, mechanics, HVAC, Mining, Oil+Gas in addition to everyday problem solvers. Our product currently competes directly against the big 3 voice+vision chat apps: ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini. We're differentiating from these by focusing on the pain points that matter, solving hands on tasks. Product Market Fit has been found through our beta test of 400 users over the last 3 months. Now I need help with go to market and growth. The product is already built but I'm looking to bring in a Co-Founder and more manpower to help scale the company into production and raise a massive seed round. Housing could be provided if you're ready to "Burn the Boats". My thesis for Maine: Startups that crowd into YC and the Valley end up circling the same investors, talent, and ideas, bouncing off one another like moons and astroids circling around a planet. It's become an anti-indicator. Building outside that orbit lets you tap the outlier effect, a superpower that few founders use. By making a big impact in a smaller market, you become the local center of gravity, drawing in talent, press, and partnerships. That gravity then propels you onto the global stage (A planet in the solar system). This principle guides the formation and strategy for building Camera Search. Also Maine is just an amazing place to live.

About the Role

Hands on engineering role. Working on the features that are most interesting to you and contributing to building on the product and all aspects of the business. Basically following your interests within the focus of our mission and goals. Working in areas of interests or strengths to achieve the most output and help the business grow as the equal Co-Founder of this company.

This is a Co-Founding and technical role and we will be taking a big swing at a large market. It's not zero-sum, but we will be shooting for the moon and creating a product in a market that has never existed before. We will be pushing the boundaries of app design, architecture, and visual intelligence riding the wave of emerging frontier models and the AI industry.
