Edifii, a 2023 Techstars portfolio company, is an AI and Neuroscience-based chatbot that empowers high school students, school counselors, and parents. It is run by a team of MIT alums with roots in neuroscience and startups, including Co-founder and CEO Izzat Jarudi, an experienced product executive for software platforms with millions of users, and Co-founder and Chief Scientist Pawan Sinha, an MIT professor of neuroscience and AI and CSAIL graduate. We recently won both a Phase I and II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the US Department of Education.

About the Role

Do you love AI…and education? Edifii is a personalized digital mentor that empowers high school students to discover who they are, their goals, and the paths to reach them. Please view our 4-minute video from a recent pilot we conducted in a New Jersey public school district under a grant from the US Department of Education. We are looking to hire a full stack engineer experienced with modern Web development frameworks (for example, React or Node) and cloud services (AWS or GCP) to support the enhancement of a prototype for deployment in multiple high schools this fall. Soon thereafter, we will adapt our product for mobile, starting with iOS. You will also support Edifii’s corporate website. You will partner closely with the business to develop our product based on user testing, market research, and agile methodologies. This is a full-time hybrid position in the Boston area. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Key requirements: -Full-time hybrid role in the Boston area to support rapid development testing of the prototype -Experience with modern responsive Web frameworks, such as React and Node -Experience with SQL and REST APIs to help us design our data model and overall architecture in AWS or GCP -Experience with/willingness to learn iOS mobile development Nice to have: -Experience with AI/machine learning models, particularly LLMs -UI/UX Design skills (both Web and mobile) -Knowledge of educational technology offerings
