About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding Backend/AI Intern who’s excited to work directly with the founder and build real, production-grade systems. You’ll help design and implement core parts of our AI ingestion pipeline (OCR, NLP, embeddings), develop backend APIs, and work on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. This is a hands-on, high-impact internship where you’ll contribute to features used by actual patients and caregivers. You’ll also get an inside look at what it’s like to build a startup from the ground up.

This isn’t a typical internship, you’ll be writing production code, helping shape the foundation of a real healthcare product, and learning directly from the founder. You’ll gain experience with AI tools (like LLMs and OCR), backend systems (FastAPI, Postgres), and secure data handling. If you’re curious about healthtech, privacy, and building systems that matter, this is a rare chance to have real ownership and impact early on. Standout interns will be considered for a future full-time founding engineer role.
