Roots is a venture working to help second-generation children relearn their heritage language. Right now, we are focused on the Chinese-American market and we currently have a data-focused cofounder and a technical (engineering) cofounder.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with an early education background to help us design the product to cater toward our audience. - Translate linguistic and pedagogical goals into concrete content structures for reels, conversational prompts, and story arcs. - Design short, engaging Chinese narratives that fit children’s cognitive attention spans. - Define difficulty tiers and speaking-practice scaffolds. - Create assessments that fit naturally inside reels or playful interactions. - Ensure all content aligns with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and heritage-learner research.
