About the Company/Team
Students moving for internships, academic terms, study abroad, or summer breaks often face a fragmented housing process dominated by informal channels and general-purpose rental platforms. These options are typically not designed around the trust, verification, timing, and coordination challenges that students actually face. Roomeru is built to address that problem through a more structured, student-centered marketplace. The platform is focused on creating a trusted environment for students to find housing, list available rooms, and navigate temporary living arrangements with greater confidence and less friction. Beyond the current platform, Roomeru also has a broader technical vision. We are developing a roadmap for AI and machine learning integration to improve areas such as matching, listing quality, trust and verification workflows, personalization, and market intelligence. While this layer is part of the future direction rather than fully implemented today, it reflects our ambition to build not just a listings platform, but a smarter infrastructure layer for student mobility. At this stage, our focus is on growth, user acquisition, partnerships, brand development, and translating product foundations into real market traction.
About the Role
Founding Growth / GTM / & Partnerships Lead This role is focused on helping Roomeru grow. The platform has already been built, and the next phase is driving adoption, strengthening brand presence, and creating commercial momentum. The person in this role would work closely with the founder across areas such as: • go-to-market strategy • student growth and user acquisition • campus partnerships and ambassador programs • business development and external partnerships • content creation and brand storytelling • marketing experiments and traction channels • feedback loops between growth, users, and product priorities This is a broad, entrepreneurial role for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, creative, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. It would suit a candidate who wants to take ownership over growth and help shape how a startup scales from an early base. The structure includes meaningful upside through ownership and profit participation, based on fit, contribution, and long-term commitment. Equity and performance-based upside!
This is an opportunity to join an already built startup platform at an early growth stage and help shape how it scales. Rather than joining a traditional internship with a narrow scope, you would work directly on the commercial side of the business — helping drive user growth, partnerships, marketing, content, and go-to-market strategy. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to startup building. Students should know that: • the platform already exists, and the focus now is growth and traction • this is a hands-on startup opportunity with real strategic influence • the role is well suited for someone interested in entrepreneurship, growth, partnerships, brand, or marketplace businesses • compensation is based on long-term upside, including ownership and profit participation, aligned with contribution and commitment This is best for someone who wants to build something real, move quickly, and play a meaningful role in scaling an early-stage company.
