Achievement Starts With Mentorship
From an idea that started on the banks of the Hudson River at West Point in May of 2021 with Army Officers Joshua Park and John Zimmerman, to a company that has developed on the banks of the Charles River at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University with MIT Technology and Public Policy Masters Student, Ryan Hetrick, Harvard MBA candidates Sean Woods and Tyler Jones, and Harvard Kennedy School student, Erblin Ribari - Chasing Greatness Mentorship is ready to inspire the next generation of college athletes through mentorship.
The mission of Chasing Greatness Mentorship is to inspire the future generation of youth athletes by providing the necessary tools, resources, and guidance. The CGM team’s ultimate goal is to be the preeminent sports mentorship service in the world. The Chasing Greatness Mentorship team is now giving college and professional athletes the opportunity to mentor young athletes on our virtual platform who are aiming to be in their shoes someday.
High school athletes struggle to find good mentors as they pursue their college ambitions. Through our PMR, we have found that high school athletes struggle to develop their confidence, need guidance in the recruiting process, and want to know how college athletes workout. High school athletes need help building their confidence and also need higher quality workouts to help them improve.
In the college recruiting process, there are families that have advantages because they are heavily involved with colleges and understand the recruiting process. Our platform gives all young athletes and parents the opportunity to understand the recruiting process better from college athletes who just successfully went through the recruiting process.
Additionally, most college athletes struggle to monetize from their Name Image and Likeness (NIL). There are only a select few athletes who are earning money from their NIL. College athletes also have very few outlets to give back to high school athletes.
Our solution is a double-sided marketplace where college athletes have the opportunity to mentor high school athletes on a virtual platform. The CGM team has created a four-week mentorship cycle where accomplished division one and professional athletes mentor high school athletes on how to be more confident and capable athletes that understand the recruiting process better.
Now, high school athletes have the opportunity to improve their confidence, and understand the college recruiting process much better. Additionally, high school athletes now have the opportunity to get workout plans and assistance from college athletes.
Additionally, college athletes can monetize from these mentorships and have outlets to give back to young athletes. CGM college athlete mentors have the opportunity to earn thousands of dollars each month from our mentorship model and help young athletes improve.
