About
The MIT Kuo Sharper Center (KSC) for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship was founded in 2007 on the belief that entrepreneurs and their innovation-driven solutions are key to advancing sustainable and inclusive prosperity in global growth markets. At the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship, we deeply believe in the power of entrepreneurship and innovation to create lasting prosperity across global growth markets. Guided by the vision of the center’s co-founders, Legatum and Iqbal Quadir, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to amplify the ambitions of entrepreneurs dedicated to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges by leveraging cutting-edge science and innovation. Since 2007, the MIT Kuo Sharper Center has supported over 600 global innovators through its multiple programs, including fellowships and bootcamps. The Center runs a series of programs including: The Student Fellowship, which is a competitive program designed to help aspiring student entrepreneurs maximize their likelihood of success as principled, impactful leaders in global growth markets. The Foundry Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind fellowship for Africa-based founders who have scaled innovation- driven companies and find themselves at an inflection point in their entrepreneurial journey. The Fellowship brings Fellows together to consider their present and future leadership roles as entrepreneurs, investors, policy influencers and thought leaders building entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.
