Problem
Despite advances in AI and 3D printing, turning ideas into physical objects remains a challenge across creative fields. Many have the creativity, but lack the technical skills or resources needed to handle the complexities of physical object creation. Our aim is to lower these barriers, making it easier for a wide range of creators. By doing so, we hope to nurture a more inclusive creative environment where the production of art objects isn't limited by technical difficulties or the costs associated with traditional methods. Our goal is to make the creation of tangible objects simpler and more accessible for artists, crafters, and other creatives to bring their unique ideas to life.
Opportunity
AUO stands as the only generative 3D design platform that focuses on creative expression and readiness for 3D printing. Developed with direct input from creators, our tool ensures users have creative control at every stage. Users can upload their 2D artwork, convert it into 3D models, and then customize these models by: (1) altering textures through text prompts, (2) applying visual textures using their own 2D artwork, and (3) preparing them for 3D printing. Our streamlined process for design, customization, and 3D printing removes the technical obstacles that often inhibit creativity. Each project has the potential to become a tangible, collectible piece, expanding the possibilities for creative expression.
