Introduction

CareSync helps universities support students who need to access, organize, and share health information when they move, travel, switch doctors, or receive care outside of campus. Instead of being a direct-to-consumer app only, CareSync is designed as a B2B/B2B2C platform that universities, campus health systems, and student support offices can offer to students as part of their health and transition support.

For students, CareSync provides a simpler way to keep important health information in one place and share it with the right provider when needed. For universities, it helps reduce confusion, delays, and administrative friction around student health records, especially for students coming from other states or countries.

Problem

Students often arrive at college with health information spread across many places: pediatricians, home-state doctors, specialists, hospitals, insurance portals, and campus health systems. When they need care near campus, they may not have quick access to key information like medications, allergies, vaccines, lab results, imaging, prior diagnoses, or specialist records.

This creates a problem for both students and universities. Students may have to call offices during class, wait on fax requests, log into multiple portals, or manually move information between providers. Universities and campus health systems also face friction because students may show up without the information needed for school forms, new provider visits, urgent care, or ongoing treatment. This can delay care, create repeated work, and make the student experience worse.

Opportunity

CareSync is a platform that universities and student-serving institutions can offer to help students manage health information during major transitions. The first focus is students who move to campus and need care across multiple providers, but the broader opportunity is to support any student who needs health information to move with them across schools, states, countries, providers, or insurance systems.

CareSync can help schools improve the student health experience while reducing the burden on students to act as the messenger between providers. The product could start with simple record organization and secure sharing, then grow into a more complete care coordination tool for universities, student health systems, and other institutions that support mobile student populations.
