We're a StartMIT-based project that is working on establishing a sharing economy for 3D printing. We look forward to connecting makers and innovators to available 3D printers.
Problem
Our world is creativity realized, the physical manifestation of ideas. But we don’t all have the ability to make our ideas a reality. Today, bringing your idea into reality, at least with 3D printing, can sometimes feel like you need a B Eng, detailed knowledge of computer-aided design, and a 3D printer in your basement or garage. We just ruled out 90% of this room! Our goal is to remove the barriers that stand between you and your creative ideas, while making underutilized 3D printers effective.
Opportunity
CREAT3D is here to help. Our platform will curate a library of customizable, free to use models that creators can search and - with confidence - select. Within the platform, this model is sent out to our network of available home printers. Creative ideas and the printers that are needed to bring them to life are matched based on the technical requirements of the model, ensuring that your idea can come to life, and expanding the possibility from ideation to creation.
