Introduction

ELLA's mission is to empower women to prioritize their overall health by connecting them with expert-led care and personalized health resources through a secure, community-focused platform.

We aim to redefine how women engage with health services by offering a holistic and personalized approach that addresses their unique needs and challenges beyond pregnancy-related care.

Our innovative platform is designed to bridge the significant gaps in women's healthcare, providing comprehensive support for conditions that are often underdiagnosed or inadequately managed in traditional healthcare settings.

Problem

Millions of women across Africa suffer from undiagnosed and untreated reproductive health conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and endometriosis—yet the healthcare system fails them at every stage.

🔴 Delayed Diagnosis:

In South Africa, it takes over two years and multiple doctors for a woman to get diagnosed with PCOS or endometriosis. Many never receive a formal diagnosis at all.

Lack of specialists and low awareness mean women suffer in silence, often being dismissed by healthcare providers.

🔴 Limited Access to Care:

Outside of maternity care, women’s health is not prioritized in the healthcare system.

There are too few gynecologists, especially in rural areas, forcing women to rely on general practitioners with little expertise in chronic gynecological conditions.

🔴 Misinformation & Isolation:

Women struggling with PCOS and endometriosis lack credible, localized health information and often turn to social media or unreliable sources for answers.

Many feel alone in their journey, without access to peer support or culturally relevant care solutions.

💡 Why Does This Matter?

Women with these conditions face severe pain, infertility, mental health struggles, and reduced quality of life. Left untreated, these issues can lead to serious long-term health complications like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and infertility.
