Introduction

Five Elements is a food-first, culturally grounded wellness brand leveraging the Eastern heritage diet to support metabolic health for urban professionals and students in the U.S., starting with a casual concept serving nutritious, convenient meals. It will gradually expand into a holistic wellness center offering nutrition and TCM practices, mindful eating and wellness activities, supported by a seamlessly integrated digital platform.

Problem

The Modern Health Crisis Driven by Poor Diets

$1.1 Trillion of healthcare costs are spent on diet-related chronic diseases in the U.S.

6 in 10 adults live with at least one chronic disease. 4 in 10 adults live with two or more chronic diseases.

126.9 million Americans have a form of cardiovascular disease. 38% of U.S. adults have prediabetes. 40% of U.S. adults

are affected by obesity.

The Western diet drives chronic inflammation and metabolic dysfunction, increasing risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.

Global heritage diets centered on whole foods and balance are shown to protect against chronic disease.

Gap: For millions of busy students and working adults, convenient, healthy, culturally grounded meals are extremely hard to access.
