Hacker Combinator (HC)
rapid prototyping for frontier ai researchers to bring their ideas to market.
Problem
Most groundbreaking AI research papers from MIT never reach the market. Researchers lack the expertise to identify commercial applications, and university tech transfer offices are overwhelmed with number of papers being published.
There are about 10? new AI papers published at MIT every day.
There is not enough officers at MIT Technology Licensing office, or VCs or angels in MIT ecosystem, to systematically and thoroughly identify real-world opportunities for how this cutting-edge AI research can be turned into commercializable opportunities.
Furthermore, most ai researchers do not have entrepreneurial drive nor time to reach out to accelerators such as delta-v or vcs such as e14 fund. Therefore much top ai research goes unnoticed.
Opportunity
We will build and use advanced AI reasoning tools, similar to OPENAI deepresearch, to systematically and thoroughly assess each AI paper that comes out of MIT and perform thorough report analysis for how it can be PROTOTYPED RAPIDLY to test market viability.
Unlike our competitors (Technology transfer office, accelerator, VCs), we specialize exclusively in AI research papers and will write automated AI tools to screen out every single AI paper that comes out from MIT.
For shortlisted papers, we will pair AI researchers with our commercialization experts who specialize in RAPID PROTOTYPING to create a micro product tests for fast go to market strategies.
I.e. we will help these researchers to build MVPs in one day (e.g. a sunday) to test their ai products in a simplest MVP.
HC will bridge the gap between theoretical AI advances and market needs QUICKLY.
