Current satellite propulsion solutions are inadequate because of their low specific impulse and efficiency. This limits the effectiveness of missions that employ this propulsion technology, through reduced payload and mission capability. The number of satellites on orbit is expected to 5x in the next decade, demanding a new approach to the way that in-space propulsion is accomplished.
We are introducing a novel elecric propulsion technology with the potential to dramatically change the way we move things in space. Our technology has an order of magnitude higher thrust density, as well as a 3-5x higher specific impulse (gas mileage-like fuel efficiency metric). Our technology is broadly applicable across nearly all spacecraft sizes, power levels, and mission requirements.
