Unlocking RNA's Therapeutic Potentials

Idea in Biotechnology

Introduction

RNA as a new therapeutic modality holds immense promise for treating previously untreatable diseases. COVID vaccine demonstrated the feasibility of using RNA as a reliable and effective therapeutic macromolecule. In recent years, RNA therapeutic companies have been on the rise, driven by advancements in nucleic acid synthesis, delivery methods, and gene editing technologies. However robust discovery platforms for RNA therapeutics are required to harness their transformative potential.

Problem

Discovery of RNA targets is a complex process. Current methods can't make sense of the large-scale high-dimensional landscape of the transcriptomic.

Opportunity

We have created a generative AI platform that uses large-scale RNA sequencing data to discover novel targets. Trained on more than 30 million human cells, our platform can be used for target identification in any disease. For our first application, we are using our model for Parkinson's disease. There is currently no effective treatment for Parkinson's disease and finding a new drug would significantly improve the quality of life for millions of patients.
