Introduction
By creating a location-based platform for digital art, MIX enables all types of artists and storytellers to gain access to a new audience and revenue stream to share their art and stories with the world. MIX creates a one-stop shop for all creative, digital experiences that blend with the physical world.
Problem
1. Independent artists need ways to promote and make money from their work, and traditional physical media artists need an easy way to enter the growing digital art scene.
2. Museums and galleries want to engage their visitors outside of their brick-and-mortar venues and leverage the possibilities of using new technologies to keep visitors engaged and bring back lost traffic.
3. Audiences want fun, themed, creative and narrative experiences throughout the city, within events, and in private spaces to be more accessible and affordable.
Opportunity
1. For independent artists, MIX allows you to share your digital art pieces the way they were meant to be seen: in the physical environment where you place them. Artists can place their works in our worldwide public art gallery or allow users to view their pieces in their own homes. Traditional artists are able to scan and upload their pieces to turn their physical art into digital art. This creates both a new way for artists to grow their audience and a much-needed revenue stream.
2. MIX enables museums and galleries to build digital experiences using either in-house artists, or by accessing MIX’s large artist collective. These experiences can be artistic or educational, and can be at the location of the institution, placed in other public locations, or reach users in their own homes.
3. With MIX, users have access to one platform where they can see a map of all the digital art and creative experiences in their cities and neighborhoods, engage directy with those artists and museums, and even bring the digital art into their own homes.
