Introduction
NoLo is dedicated to helping public service workers get access to the student loan forgiveness they need and deserve so that they can focus on what they do best, instead of focusing on student debt.
Problem
Public service workers have more student debt than they can afford to pay off leading to high employee turnover and essential role shortages, government loan forgiveness programs that promise relief have confusing eligibility requirements and outdated submission processes leading to forgiveness rates of <4%, and eemployers lack the time, capacity, and expertise to help employees achieve forgiveness and stay in their jobs.
Opportunity
A web platform that simplifies the student loan forgiveness process by: (1) ggregating federal & state forgiveness programs, (2) transitioning users into the correct loan type and tracking loan repayment, (3) verifying employment and tracking forgiveness eligibility, and (4) automating paperwork completion and enabling online filing.
