Opta AI

A smart path to everyone's success

Idea in Education

Introduction

Information about programs, courses, scholarships, mentorships and how to even apply to any of these are currently very scattered. A student really needs to know what they're looking for in order to find opportunities that match their needs - a search which is not always exhaustive or even effective.

What if there was a platform that not only aggregates all of these opportunities at one place, but also creates a pathway tailored to your needs through AI so that you can know what steps to take in order to reach your goals?

Opta AI will do that for you. Where do you want to get?

Problem

The college dropout rate in Brazil stands at over 30% (between private and public instituitions). With that, 36% of Brazilian youth (between 18-24 years of age) don't study or work. There is a mismatch between what formal institutions are able to provide as training and what the market requires from students, and that gap is filled by programs, courses, mentorships, among other initiatives - but these don't always find the people who they target.

Multiple NGOs, foundations and companies have programs to help students move forward with their careers, be it through scholarships, preparation for selective processes, CV review, mentorship or technical training. Nevertheless, many of the people who could most profit from these opportunities never even learn they exist.

Many times these opportunities are shared through social media, word-of-mouth, WhatsApp groups etc, and there is no single place where a person can look for these and understand what moment of their journey would be appropriate to apply, or qualifications they would need, if any.

Opportunity

Opta is a hub for opportunities that a student might need to achieve their career and developmental goals.

Through a chatbot, Opta captures the interests and career goals of the student and generates a learning pathway for them to follow, where each step provides a series of possible initiatives already available in the market for them to apply to.

Our platform will then inform the student about the application process and provide tips on how to do better at that selection.

This is a way to simplify access to opportunities for those who need it most and don't even know how to look for it.
