Amazon level logistics for small and medium businesses.
Introduction
North America and Europe has well developed logistics solutions. However, there are still gaps in the South East Asian (SEA) market. We want to bring Amazon level logistics to small and medium businesses in SEA.
Problem
Logistics solutions in Singapore, or the region, are not as well developed as North America (Amazon, etc.) or in Europe. There has also been an observed rise in the number of individuals running small bakeries or ice cream shops from their home, but are unable to get cheap and efficient logistics solutions.
Opportunity
For a start, we will develop an application (I have a basic MVP that a business is using) that helps businesses optimize their routes (I'm doing a PhD in Transportation and CS at MIT). Following that, I can see two possible directions the company can take.
First, a tech logistics company that delivers optimized routes that beat state-of-the-art methods in industry.
Second, a general optimization company.
