Problem
The stark contrast in design between the structured Stata Building and the fluid Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku highlights more than functional differences; it showcases the crucial role of a designer's intention. Without preserving these unique visions, architecture risks becoming homogeneous, a concern heightened by the rise of generic AI tools. The key issue here is not the use of AI, but how it's being used. The current AI landscape, powered by tools like ChatGPT, DALL-E, and Midjourney, often leads to a dilution of an architect's individual creativity. To truly harness AI's potential in enhancing creativity, emotion, and spatial understanding in architecture, we need a platform that merges custom AI assistants, trained on unique data, with the flexibility to open-source these AI models and leverage the creations of others. This approach not only preserves the essence of architectural individuality but also propels the field forward by integrating AI as a collaborative, rather than a homogenizing, force.
