Introduction

The Combat Rapid Blood Transfuser (CRBT) delivers blood 3x faster than standard methods, saving lives in combat and emergencies. Compact, intuitive, and field-ready, CRBT empowers medics to act immediately, where every second matters.

Problem

The Combat Rapid Blood Transfuser (CRBT) addresses the urgent problem of slow, complex, and logistically burdensome blood transfusions in military and emergency trauma care, where delays can lead to preventable deaths from hemorrhagic shock.

The Critical Issue

Current blood transfusion methods in combat, prehospital, and resource-limited environments are often slow (taking 15–20+ minutes), require gravity, involve bulky equipment, and need moderate to high levels of training, which delays lifesaving intervention for patients with severe bleeding.

Impact of Delays

Delayed blood transfusion is a leading cause of death in trauma settings, especially on the battlefield, as every minute without blood increases the risk of death from hemorrhagic shock. Complex procedures and logistics further slow down treatment and add risk when rapid response is needed most.

Operational Gaps

Traditional systems burden medics with heavy, cumbersome supplies, slow processes, and dependency on gravity, making transfusions difficult under fire, during evacuations, and in austere or decentralized care environments.

Opportunity

By streamlining the workflow, eliminating gravity dependence, and enabling blood delivery up to three times faster, CRBT tackles the core barriers that degrade trauma survival rates and operational readiness in both military and civilian emergency medicine.
