Introduction
RSVP provides a data-centric, social marketplace/discovery platform for nightlife events in which patrons can book tickets from venues with confidence, as well as share their “going-out” plans for non-ticket events such as regular nights at a bar. User confidence is enabled by the ability to view the RSVP’s of friends, see real-time updates on the age/gender composition of RSVP users at a given host. RSVP Social also provides useful static information about venues/events such as primary music, drink price, dress code, and age policy.
Problem
Nightlife patrons are consistently disappointed with their "going out" experiences, caused by unsatisfactory crowds (age, gender, magnitude), the wrong music, or other characteristics such as ambiance and drink quality.
Opportunity
RSVP provides a sleek mobile platform app with a map-based event finder, no-hassle ticket purchase functionality, & social features such as friending to keep track of friends' plans. An accompanying desktop site allows hosts to create events as well.
