Problem
S▲l.Terr∆e addresses the critical and unmet needs of individuals with environmental illnesses, including chemical sensitivities and related chronic conditions. These individuals face significant challenges such as limited access to specialized care, delayed diagnoses, fragmented resources, isolation, stigma, and financial burdens. In the U.S., 1 in 4 Americans report chemical sensitivity, and among the 55 million living with chronic conditions attributed to chemical sensitivity, 22 million lose workdays or jobs annually due to these issues. Globally, the World Health Organization reports that 24% of deaths are linked to environmental factors, including harmful chemicals. Despite the growing prevalence of these conditions, individuals and their caregivers struggle without adequate support, and healthcare providers and advocates face a lack of tools to effectively address these challenges. This widespread neglect creates a gap that urgently needs to be bridged to improve health outcomes and quality of life.
