Introduction
An all-in-one app/software aimed at providing convenience for Dunedin grocery shoppers. The app will feature route-planning, price comparison, and grocery list assistance to ensure the most optimal weekly-shop, in terms of time and money.
Problem
People often overspend on their weekly shop by limiting themselves to one grocery store. Attention-grabbing promotional pricing, loyalty schemes, and convenient locations entice them. However, they are uninformed and miss out on potential savings from stopping at a variety of stores during their weekly shop. Most NZ shoppers have a "wing-it" mentality, meaning they lack preparation and often forget crucial items, having to embark on multiple trips and wasting time.
Opportunity
Our app provides NZ Southland shoppers with all the information required for an optimal, streamlined weekly shop. Users can compare prices and promotional mechanisms (multi-buy deals, combos, etc) across multiple chains, as well as multi-stop pre-planned routes. This information can be provided at face value, or our app will calculate the quickest, most inexpensive route, personaized to the user's priorities.
