Introduction: Hey there! 🖐 We are building a software platform that enables one-person businesses to manage their adminstrative and operational work. We are helping them save time and money by streamlining client tracking, billing, task management, and more.
About the Founders: We are MIT Sloan MBA Class of 2023 who both have parents who run one-person businesses. We are working hard to support a group of businesses that are often overlooked and are having a blast building something from nothing. We currently have a fully-functioning MVBP with a group of active users (including our first paying users!) and are learning a ton from our early user program.

Problem
What is the problem? One-person businesses waste substantial time and resources on admin and operations. Based on our research, they can spend over 10 hours per week on administrative work like client management and billing. They also can lose a material portion of their income to digital transaction fees.
So What? For some, these hurdles can restrict one-person businesses from growing. For others, they simply want to reduce the intensity and number of hours they spend working. One person businesses often do their jobs because their job is their passion. We want to help them pursue their passion.
Why not something else? Existing systems do not work for one-person businesses because they are too complicated, hard to learn, and insufficient for the specific needs of a one-person business. They are tired of using piecemeal solutions that are not built for them and are looking for something new as businesses continue to shift to digital.
Opportunity
Solution: Soundboard is a software-as-a-service solution that enables our customers to organize their businesses in one place. They can enter their clients, tasks, appointments, and payments into Soundboard to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. We can automate appointment tracking, billing, and payments by integrating their Calendars and Stripe Accounts into Soundboard. We aim to enable our customers to focus their entire time on their clients while Soundboard manages the administrative work.
Our Approach: As we grow, we will continue to maintain a simple interface and automate repetitive work wherever we can. Our goal is to continue using an interative, experimental approach based on actual customer feedback to drive our product priorities.
Technical Details: So far, we have been building our product using Bubble.io alongside relevant integrations.
