Introduction

TirePro is an AI-driven tire management platform designed to help fleet operators in Latin America reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and improve safety. By leveraging AI, IoT sensors, and image recognition technology, TirePro enables proactive maintenance, optimizing tire lifespan and performance. The platform operates on a subscription model and targets large truck fleets, initially focusing on Colombia before expanding to Peru, Ecuador, and Central America. Founded by Tony, along with Mateo and Jeronimo Morales—who bring deep industry expertise from their family’s tire business in Colombia—TirePro aims to revolutionize fleet management through data-driven insights and automation. The team is actively seeking growth opportunities, including applications to MIT delta v and the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund Program.


Problem

Managing tires for a fleet is a uniquely complex optimization problem. Fleets must choose cost-effective tires for each vehicle position based on cargo, route, design, etc. Tires account for up to 30% of fleet operating expenses, yet poor monitoring and reactive maintenance result in efficiency losses across fleets. These inefficiencies drive premature tire wear, higher fuel consumption, and unexpected breakdowns, directly impacting profitability and safety. In addition, in order to maximize tire life fleet operators need to keep track of a myriad of metrics and KPIs.

In emerging markets, where fleets often face harsher road conditions and limited access to advanced management tools, the problem is even more pronounced where tires underperform manufacturing specifications by 20%. Current manual or fragmented systems fail to deliver the real-time data and actionable insights needed to extend tire lifespan, optimize performance, and reduce downtime. With growing pressure to cut costs and enhance operational efficiency, fleet managers urgently need an innovative, cost-effective solution tailored to their unique challenges.

Our solution is a tire management platform that helps fleet operators reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure safety by leveraging data from multiple sources. The platform integrates driver inspections, mechanic evaluations, IoT sensor data, and cutting-edge image recognition technology. Fleet operators can upload tire photos, which are analyzed to provide quick and accurate condition assessments, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual checks.

All the data is consolidated into a centralized dashboard, providing fleet managers with real-time insights into tire performance, cost tracking, and maintenance needs. The platform calculates precise tire costs by monitoring wear and performance over time and uses AI to generate actionable recommendations, such as scheduling maintenance or replacements, to prevent breakdowns and extend tire lifespan. The platform offers a practical, user-friendly, and scalable solution tailored to the specific needs of fleets operating in complex or resource-constrained environments, providing an essential tool to optimize tire management processes.
