We envision an app that has a free version and a subscription part. In the free version, there is a scanner that a person can scan a piece of garbage and it tells you where the closest place to recycle it is. There are also community forums where people can talk about recycling. There is also an educational part where people can improve their recycling habits. Aside from the subscription part, you can pay for somebody to come and pick up your recycling and make sure it’s recycled well via a service similar to Uber.
Problem
Our problem is that recycling is not easily accessible to everyone. They either don't understand how to recycle properly or don't know the quickest ways to do so.
