Cartograph - A connected art-therapy journal for better mental health In a world increasingly consumed with digital media, Cartograph is a tactile life-mapping tool that grounds people in the present moment. Building on evidence-based art therapy and therapeutic writing practices, Cartograph uses bite-sized self-reflection and coloring exercises that result in stunning, pixelated self-portraits and uses a digital companion app that learns from inputs and helps people develop emotional resilience, heal from trauma and loss, and lead more fulfilling, present lives.

About the Role

This is a role supporting the founder (from mechanical engineering & UX design background) with business strategies (mainly) and UX visual design (if possible) as support.

The founder is from Harvard MDE Program passionate about mental healthcare industry and has 10+ years of experience in the health tech industry. I am assisting the founder in finding an MITer to join as a co-founder, a supportive employee, or simply someone who helps manage the administrative and registration process for startup programs at MIT. He is passionate about improving public health through better design, and his first company, Breathe99, was recognized as one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2020 before being sold to Armbrust American in 2023.
