Slowform is a social networking platform dedicated to fostering genuine human connections in the digital age. As artificial intelligence and bots run wild on large platforms, we're seeking to build a social network designed for humans. We're tired of bots and we're tired of predatory advertising practices that dictate the technology we use. We're building a social media network that let's you take back your life while staying in touch with the people and businesses you care about. Our mission is to cultivate a space where users prioritize meaningful engagement over mindless scrolling. By limiting posts to once a week, we encourage quality over quantity. We're seeking to build the antithesis of current social media apps such as meta and tiktok and are emphasizing the value of authentic and thoughtfully curated longer-form content.

About the Role

Searching for a CTO and engineering co-founder to lead the charge in building our initial product. As Co-Founder you will have an equal stake in the company and autonomy to make engineering decisions. You'll have a passion for building, and are excited about reinventing a large industry and making a positive impact in the world. You'll do well if you can take ui/ux designs (what I'm building) and bring a product to life that can scale to hundreds of of thousands of users. Bonus points if you can convince friends to join and build alongside us.

This is a startup. There's only one employee (me). There's potential for free housing in Maine to come work somewhere cool for the summer and build this thing alongside me.
